If you have been unemployed for at least 12 months and your education and work experience satisfies the requirements of the employer, SEA offers an opportunity to take a subsidized job. Under this programme, the government partially subsidizes your and your work manager’s salary for a year or two.
By participating, you will benefit from:
- a qualified work manager,
- a salary in the amount of at least the minimum wages,
- paid annual leave.
During your employment on a subsidized job you will not lose the status of an unemployed person, and you have the right to continue attending Latvian language courses provided by SEA and receive your salary and scholarship in the amount of EUR 5 for each day of the training at the same time. Ask your employer, whether your working hours and responsibilities allow you to exploit this opportunity and combine work with the Latvian language courses.
Consult your SEA consultant on details of taking a subsidized job.
